The Hybrid Noise Reduction provides a fixed amount of noise reduction for soft sounds and then adapts or increases the amount as the noise level increases. This provides a more precise level of wearing comfort for the wearer.

New with the Ion 200 are the water-resistant features for improved reliability and performance. To control the effects of moisture, a GORE membrane covers the microphones, a hydrophobic coating on the casing shields the device, and an O-ring seal integrated in the battery door also controls moisture.
